How do I edit messages in Slack?
Edit a message
- Hover over the message you’d like to edit.
- Click the three dots icon.
- Click Edit message.
- Select Save Changes to finish.

To configure the ability to edit messages, click on the dropdown box labelled “Edit messages”. Here you can choose to allow editing at any time, never, or within one minute, five minutes, thirty minutes, one hour, twenty-four hours, or within one week of the original message being posted.
Why can’t I delete Slack messages?
You can delete Slack messages on both desktop and mobile — unless your administrator has disabled message deleting. When you delete Slack messages, you’ll need to delete them one at a time, as you can’t bulk-delete. Unless you’re an administrator, you can only delete your own Slack messages.
Can you see edited messages in Slack?

Are deleted Slack messages really deleted?
Slack does not archive deleted messages or provide a way to recover deleted information. Once a user deletes a particular message, that message is gone forever. However, Slack may still retain information about deleted messages that can be included in an electronic discovery export.

How do I delete a workflow message in Slack?
